List PDF annotations

Is it possible to list all annotations done in a PDF? I use NeoReader in my Boox, and other PDF Viewers in iOS/Android and all of them allow show the list of annotated pages in one or other way, like showing thumbnails of annotated pages or a listing of annotations.

I cannot find anything similar in KOReader (Android version). Surely I'm missing it because I think it is a basic thing to do.

Can KOReader make it harder to accidentally click intra-document links?

I'm reading a technical PDF right now that has cross-references in nearly every paragraph, and I've accidentally hit them so many times that it's driving me nuts.

Is there a way to make it so that these links don't open instantly on tap? Even if I can fully disable intra-document links for now that'd be much better than what I'm dealing with!

Make page 1 the last page number for pages left in a chapter #7549

I'm putting in a request to change the page numbering for pages left in a chapter. It would be good if page 1 was the last page instead of 0 and that the page numbers showed as the actual number of pages left. It does get annoying to constantly having to add 1 to the page numbers to get the actual count/

I hope other think this is a good idea.

[Libra] KOReader not updating Calibre metadata

In Calibre I have removed the tag "TBR" from 3 books. I then rebooted back into Nickel and plugged my Libra in. The Three books still showed up in my KOReader listing of the "TBR" tag, so I rebooted back into Nickel, and ran Kobo Utilties to update metadata on device. None of the three books have a "TBR" tag in Calibre, yet all three still show up in the TBR tag list on KOReader, despite having updated 3 times now. What am I doing wrong?

Overlapping tap zones

Hello everyone,

I'm trying on changing the next and previous tap zones to the following:

1 wide zone for the next page and 1 smaller zone right smack in the middle for the previous page



The problem is it at the overlapped zone, the next page is being triggered instead of the previous page. Is there a way to set the z index of the tap zones?

Crashes while deleting highlights

Hi!

When I try to delete a highlight, KOReader crashes.
I have installed the last version of KOReader on a Pocketbook device.

Does anyone else have the same problem?

Perhaps I should mention that, some days before, I installed the latest version of Pocketbook 628, but after that I realized some malfunctions (e.g. flashes while typing in the dictionary) and I uninstalled it, installing the previous version of Pocketbook.

Does this have anything to do with the problem?

Covers not displayed

Hi!

There are epub books whose cover is displayed in Pocketbook reader's library but not in KOReader's (of course it is displayed when I open the book). Actually Pocketbook displays the cover of every ebook that has an image in first page.

So, I have to transfer them first into calibre, where I can edit it, and then back to my device in order for the cover to be displayed in KOReader.

Is it something that can be solved?

Koreader not able to read fb2 within zip on Hisense A5 Pro

I use Koreader on both my Hisense A5 Pro and Nova 3 and sync the progress between them. I recently started reading a book (zip compressed fb2) on my Nova 3. When I tried opening the same file on my A5 Pro Koreader shows the message "(no book information: not readable by engine)" in the file browser. When clicking on the file it displays "No reader engine for this file or invalid file."

Some of the zipped fb2 files show up just fine on the A5. All of the files work perfectly on the Nova 3.

I tried unzipping the file on the A5 and the resulting fb2 opened up just fine. But it wouldn't sync the progress with the still zipped fb2 file on my Nova 3, of course.

What could the reason for this be? I'm confused since I use the latest Koreader from F-droid on both devices and the same files.

EDIT: I thought the files might have corrupted somehow when being transferred to the A5, but they opened up just fine in Alreader X, so that doesn't seem to be it either..

"no book information"?

The attached screenshot shows a series I loaded from Calibre. All three books open just fine, but one of them, the one I'm currently reading, gives the error shown. I have deleted the book from my Libra, and reinstalled, refreshed the metadata several times, all to no avail. How do I fix this error?

Background tasks on tolino shine 5 (android)

Hey, i am wondering where this plugin went. I know it was there in a version some time last year but in the meantime I can't get it to show up anymore. I reset all of my koreaner with the corresponding data folders and tried both the GitHub release and fdroid release. Is there any way to get it back?

Split view mode

It would be nice to have the ability to bring up 2 books side by side in a screen which is split vertically or horizontally. The usage I have in mind is to read the same book in two languages when learning a new language.
I am on Kobo if that makes a difference. Yes I know, Android from 6.0 or so has that feature in OS.

Dictionaries support on Koreader - Kobo

I'm lost!

I've got a Kobo Clara HD with Koreader installed and working. I'm trying to get italian, english and spanish dictionaries.

Installing from Koreader only shows it-en and it-ru dictionaries, but I want an italian-only dictionary, and a spanish-only too. English-only seems to be provided by the "GNU collaborative international dictionary".

If I open the Dictionary support page ( https://github.com/koreader/koreader...ionary-support ), the Firedict site doesn't have the dictionaries I'm looking for.

Kobo default reader (Nickel) has these dictionaries (both italian-only and spanish-only are pretty good), I've them in my device, although they're in "dicthtml" format. The same dictionaries are available for download here: https://www.mobileread.com/forums/sh...d.php?t=196931
The problem is that they're installed by Nickel, and I need them in Koreader.

I can't find the way to convert dicthtml to stardict:

- penelope is not supported anymore (and if I try to install, pip gives me an error)

- apparently there's this project, "pyglossary", that is still mantained, that replaces penelope, and that converts many formats to stardict, but not from dicthtml, or maybe I can't choose which option for the "input format"

- there's also dictutil (https://pgaskin.net/dictutil/) that extracts the kobo's dicthtml to a collection of html/xml files, but I can't find the way to convert these to stardict

I dont' know what to do. Why is it so difficult? I've been searching so much with no result of instructions how to install these dictionaries! Am I the only italian/spanish speaking person using koreader in the world? Please help!

Hi, I opened an html page with koreader, but the lines at top and bottom of the page are cut. Can I set anything to make the lines fall only in or out of the page?

Koreader Kobo H2O features dissapeared

Hi,

much useful features disappeared in v 2021.04. Could you please help how to get them back?

After upgrading to 2021.04 I have lost much good features on my Kobo:

1. Top right corner tap - was add a bookmark, now just next page!
2. Left side swipe up/down was backlight more/less, now just refresh!
3. Top left corner tap was night/day mode, now nothing
4. Can not find in all menus, how to set-up all taps / swipes anymore.

Anyone, who has the same problem, please help!!

Hi I downloaded 4 fonts and I want to edit them so that KOReader detect them as Regular, Bold, Italic, BoldItalic


Fonts downloaded:________|________ As they shoud be detected:



iosevka-fixed-semibold.ttf ................... -> regular
iosevka-fixed-semibolditalic.ttf............ -> italic
iosevka-fixed-heavy.ttf......................... -> bold
iosevka-fixed-heavyitalic.ttf................. -> bolditalic


Could you help me?

Completely getting rid of BOTTOM status bar

Hi,

I have unchecked all checkboxes in status bar settings, set container size and font size to minimum (07) but still have a big space at the bottom of my reader.
Is there any way to use this space for text, as it was in older versions?

UPD: Sorry, found line spacing, when set bottom to 0 solves problem.
